Vinson hosts hands-on flow computer training for production, measurement, and control applications. These basic and advanced courses are taught by experienced Vinson personnel at the Company’s office in Metropolitan Dallas.  Each course incorporates practical training utilizing live ROC equipment and your laptop. Each student will leave with greatly increased knowledge of remote computers and someone to call if they get back to the field and have a question.

Measurement Operations and Automation I, Course 1000 Flyer>

This Vinson Process Controls Company course is those responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting and gathering data using ROCLink 800 and Remote Operations Controllers (ROC) RTUs. The primary focus of this course is to provide a broad experience in oil and gas production and pipeline installations and applications.

Overview
This 4-day course provides fundamental skills necessary to: • Install and correctly terminate power and grounding and signal wiring to a ROC.
• Configure, calibrate and troubleshoot a ROC for API (liquid) and AGA (gas) measurement and control.
• Installation, configuration and overview of Production Manager Suite of Software.
• Gather, analyze, and store Historical data and configuration files.
This course provides maximum hands on time with ROC 809 RTU and ROCLink 800 software. Prerequisite A good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and a basic knowledge of the oil and gas business, especially production and pipeline installations.

Engineering and Automation II, Course 2000 Flyer>

This Vinson Process Controls Company course is designed for those responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and gathering data using ROCLink 800 and Remote Operations Controllers (ROC) RTUs. The primary focus of this course is to provide a broad experience in advanced control for multiple applications and integration into SCADA.

Overview
This 4-day course provides fundamental skills necessary to:
• Design and configure advanced PID control for both analog and discrete control applications
• Design and build specialized logic control using Function Sequence Tables (FST)
• Advanced control applications using Cause and Effect, Surface Controls, and Calculation Blocks
• Understand communication signals, Roc and Modbus Protocols
• Using ROC or Modbus efficiently in a communication system and SCADA
• Production Manager Series of Software Applications
• Wireless Solutions Prerequisite Course 1000 or personnel with prior experience working with the ROC RTU and ROCLink software in the operation and maintenance of associated measurement and control equipment.

ROC 809 and FB107 Flow Computers will be used in the training furnished by Vinson Process Controls Company, LP. Upgrades to ROCLINK800 will be available to licensed users if required. Laptop and LOI cable to be furnished by each student.

Registration Deadline/Payment Information: 2 weeks prior to course start date. Purchase order/payment is required at time of enrollment, credit cards accepted.

Cancellations: You may cancel your reservation up to 14 days prior to the start of the course without incurring a cancellation charge. Limited enrollment makes it necessary to charge 50% of the full tuition for cancellations received during the 14 days prior to start of the course and full tuition for failure to attend without canceling. Substitutions are accepted until the first day of class. Vinson Process Controls Company, LP reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to insufficient students with a full refund to registered students. Any necessary cancellations will be announced a minimum of 72 hours prior to the start of class.
